Colorful Flower Pre-Made

This is a layout I was making for a client. My client decided she didn't want it, so I'm putting it up as a pre-made. =)

I will edit the header to your blog name and edit the buttons to match the navigation bar you want.

Also, for a bigger price I will also add other things to it if you desire it and I can change different things in the layout for you.

Take it as is: 1 book off my top Top Ten Most Wanted wish list, OR 2 books off my wish list. Top ten most wanted is at the very top of the list. I accept used/new HB/PB/ARC. But no e-books, I'm sorry!

Change stuff & add stuff: 2 books off my top Ten Most Wanted, OR 3 books off my wish list.

This is first come, first serve. If you want the layout, e-mail me at thevintagebookworm AT aol DOT com

The Passionate Bookworm Before & After

I just finished a design for The Passionate Bookworm. =) She was my first complete order that wasn't a giveaway! So I was very excited. I also made a new friend with her! She was lovely to work with and I look forward to hopefully working with her again in the future. Here are the before and after shots of her blog. =)

Michelle's  testimonial:
I could not be more satisfied with the outcome of my new blog design! Amanda @ Vintage Bookworm Designs really caught on to the feel that I wanted on my blog and took the time to deal with the multiple questions and tiny tweaks. She was available very often to speak with me about ANY changes that I wanted to make, or different things I might want to try. The turn around time was wonderful! I was surprised how quickly she always responded back with updates and changes. I could tell that she had alot of enthusiasm when working with me and on the design, and it really shows! I know I will be going back to her and having her help me with future changes on my blog. It was a great experience, and I made a new friend out of it! I highly recommend getting a Vintage Bookworm Design!

Blood, Sweat and Books BEFORE & AFTER

Wow, I just realized I never posted the BEFORE & AFTER shots of Blood, Sweat, and Books blog! She has a new blog design, which is also rockin' by the way! But still wanted to share. =)

This was her testomonial:
I won my layout in a giveaway and having no real working knowledge of CSS or HTML you can believe the excitement I had at hearing I was the winner. Amanda responded to every email inquiry I had quickly and even offered to set up a web chat so we could pour over ideas together. In the end she delivered a beautiful blog with button that still retained much of my original idea. I am very pleased with the results. Note: I did change font and post backgrounds to better match after installing. I would highly recommend Vintage Bookworm Designs for all your layout needs.

Thursday, February 2, 2012

I recently held a 200 follower giveaway on my book review blog, The Vintage Bookworm, for a custom made blog design by me for three different followers. I've been working on all three layouts and one just went live yesterday!

It was Renae from Respiring Thoughts! Here is the before and after shots! =D

This was her testimonial:
It was really great working with Vintage Bookworm Designs. Amanda lets you make your own decisions, and she's very willing to tweak things until you're happy with the product. I was really pleased with the input I had in the design process. The turn-around time was good, and I was happy with the amount of communication—I never once felt that I was being kept out of the loop. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I'd be happy to repeat it.

Updates:
I will soon be putting up some pre-made blogger templates if anyone is interested. =D

Wednesday, January 4, 2012

Hello everyone!

Hello and welcome to my new blog design website! My name is Amanda, I am the owner of a book review blog called The Vintage Bookworm. I have been blogging on and off since 2008, though my newest book review blog, The Vintage Bookworm, was started in December of 2010.

Creating custom layouts is a hobby of mine. When I first started out blogging in 2008, there weren't that many three column layouts and back then it was the trend on the blogs. I was always searching for a three-column blogger template and normally when I finally did find one I liked, about three other people would have the same one. It was quite frustrating and still is sometimes.

Blogger has since created a Blogger Template designer where you can create your own layout with it, which is awesome, but a lot of people don't always have time to deal with creating one or don't even know how. Also, a lot of the things on the designer are a bit overused as well.

So, I have decided to make a blog just for creating Blogger designs, headers, buttons and more. CUSTOM! And a lot of people charge loads of money for a custom design. But not me. I won't charge money. I will be doing trades. And I won't make you decide until after you see the design.

You can tell me how you would like your design to look, I'll do my best to meet your dream, and then when you are satisfied you can take a look at my book wish list and we'll work out a deal. I'm up for negotiations. =)

I'm still learning how to create designs. I don't have any expensive web design software or anything like Photoshop, Artisteer or Dreamweaver or anything. But I do know how to do a pretty good amount of things and I'll try my best to learn more when it arises and I'll do my best to create somewhat of your dream layout.

I would love to design layouts for money, but I'm not that good yet and with the economy it's too expensive to spend $100 on layouts, no matter how beautiful they are. (Don't worry, I drool over them too. Guilty.)

I'll be adding up a portfolio soon. Also you can go to my book review blog to see a design made by me as well. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at vintagebookworm(at)yahoo(dot)com.

XoXo,
Amanda, The Vintage Bookworm
